Voriplasmic Corpses are skeletal corpses which are puppeteered by nearby voriplasms, encountered throughout Murkmire. They have enough fine-motor control that they can use weaponry, and either use a sword and shield or a two-handed weapon. They remain active and fighting even if the voriplasm controlling them is destroyed.
Voriplasmic Corpses will appear in Xeemhok's Lagoon during the fight with Xeemhok the Trophy-Taker. Voriplasms will move toward a glowing corpse and animate them. These use set classes, poison archer and tank, rather than their standard abilities.
Skills and Abilities[edit]
Standard[edit]
- Sweeping Trance
- A basic melee attack, dealing low physical damage.
- Abdominal Spikes
- Spikes made out of voriplasm jut out of the corpse's midsection, causing a mix of low physical and poison damage.
- Voriplasmic Upward Swing
- Voriplasmic corpses wielding two-handed weapons will perform this attack. They rear their weapon before delivering a powerful blow, dealing moderate physical damage and stunning you. This attack can be blocked to set them off-balance.
Poison Archer[edit]
- Quick Shot
- A basic ranged attack that deals minor physical damage.
- Poisoned Arrow
- A ranged attack that deals moderate physical damage and applies poison damage over time to the target.
- Arrow Spray
- The enemy shoots a spray of poison arrows in the direction it is facing as indicated by a red cone. This attack does moderate poison damage as well as snares all enemies hit. This attack can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided. Blocking also prevents the snare and reduces the damage.
- Roll Dodge
- The enemy can roll dodge to avoid attacks.
- Arrow Stab
- A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage where the poison archer grabs their arrow and stabs it into the target rather than firing it.
- Noxious Cloud
- The enemy shoots an arrow that detonates on contact with the ground at a target's location, leaving a cloud of noxious fumes, which deals continuous low poison damage.
Tank[edit]
- Quick Strike
- A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.
- Power Bash
- A heavy shield bash that does moderate damage and stuns if it hits the target. This attack can be blocked to knock the enemy off balance.
- Block
- The enemy may also briefly block with its shield, reducing damage taken greatly. Players who attempt melee heavy attacks on the enemy while it is blocking will be set off balance.

Bugs[edit]
- The stun applied by the Voriplasmic Upward Swing sometimes do not make you play the stunned animation on your character if the attack lands, though break free can be used regardless.
