Phedre Briricca

Phedre Briricca is an Imperial banker who is the appointed Director of the Briricca Private Bank's branch in the city of Old Ebonheart, in Morrowind. Phedre has a role in Old Ebonheart's East Empire Company quests as the ultimate arbiter of whether an important loan to the company's investments in certain activities east of the Thirr River goes ahead. While the collation of the request for a loan is taken rather seriously at the EEC building, an employee named Zenurie Mondette claims a shared history with Phedre, believing that she'll approve the loan regardless. She notes that the Briricca family are major shareholders of the Company, and therefore are effectively loaning to themselves.

For protection, she wears a set of Orcish greaves. For clothing, she wears an extravagant shirt, a pair of extravagant pants, a pair of extravagant shoes, an expensive belt, and an expensive skirt. She wields a silver dai-katana and carries 400 random gold.

Aside from her natural charm and ability to absorb fatigue from others, she knows the following spells: Blind, Demoralize Creature, Earwig, Father's Hand, and Night-Eye.

Dialogue[edit]

  • Background:
"I'm %Name, Director of the Briricca Private Bank in Old Ebonheart."
(If Disposition ≥ 90):
"I'm %Name, Director of the Ebonheart branch of the Briricca Private Bank. It is unusual for a Briricca to lead a branch, even one as important as the Ebonheart location, but I volunteered. My only regret is that everyone in this city wants to emulate the Heartlands, politics and money play included."
  • Briricca Private Bank:
"The Briricca Private Bank is a major financial institution owned by my family. We hail from the city of Quenti Turrai in the Imperial Heartlands. As one of the monopolistic banks of the Empire, we are involved in both trade as prominent members of the East Empire Company and interprovincial finance. Some of my relatives have even been Prelates in the Cult of Zenithar, and we have held a seat on the Elder Council for centuries."

East Empire Company: Paper Trail[edit]

  • Briricca report:
"Historically, this branch has given you a very generous interest rate on that loan. If you want me to keep it up, you're going to need a pretty good reason."
"Yes, I've been expecting this for quite some time." (Removed EEC Briricca Report from your inventory)
  • [Let Phedre look over the Briricca report.]:
"Interesting. I'll get back to you all with a number in due time. What, did you expect an answer right now? Take this and leave me." (Cano's Disposition +10, East Empire Company Reputation +5, and you receive 5 gold)
"As I said, I'll have an answer in due time."

East Empire Company: Bank Run[edit]

  • Briricca update:
"Indeed, I have an update for you." (You receive the Briricca EEC Update)
"That will be all."

Imperial Legion: Firemoth Rekindled[edit]

"You have come here on behalf of the East Navy asking for a contribution to your rebuilding efforts? Interesting. I seem to recall the Saros mine yielding ebony before its unfortunate loss. Reclaiming it seems like a lucrative venture for the Empire. As loyal citizens, we would, of course, be honored to donate to your cause. For, say, a ten percent share in the Saros mine?"
  • I will tell the Commodore.:
"Of course. I eagerly await his response."
(If you are at least a Commodore of the Imperial Navy):
  • As a ranking officer of the East Navy, I agree.:
"A pleasure doing business with you, %PCName."
"Has the East Navy agreed to grant us a share in the Saros mine?"
"A pleasure doing business with you, %PCName."
"Rest assured, %PCName. All will be taken care of."
