The Ring of the Wind is a ring artifact. It can be found while fishing. It increases movement speed by 15%.
The ring is a rare quality junk item, which has a 3% chance (8% chance with the Dwarven Fishing Rod) of being caught when no fish is caught. See our Fishing activity page for more details.
Notes[edit]
- The ring is useful in Survival Mode as there is no fast travel.
- The ring previously appeared in Morrowind.
Bugs[edit]
- Upon putting Ildari Sarothril into Bleedout, the player is given a perk that adds a multiplier of 0.01 to the magnitude of Illusion effects on the player. This persists until the perk is removed upon killing Ildari. This notably makes the Ring of Khajiit and Ring of the Wind very weak.
- The perk can be removed using the console command
player.removeperk 0403d597
; it will be reacquired when Ildari is next put into Bleedout.
- The perk can be removed using the console command
- The strength of the ring's enchantment can be increased by drinking a potion of Fortify Illusion before equipping the ring. This buff will last until the ring is unequipped.
- Depending on the potion's potency, the enchantment on the ring can increase or decrease.
- If the ring is equipped while you have the Kindred Mage perk, the movement speed buff will be increased by 10%. The enchantment's strength will not update in the inventory, but the Active Effects menu will show the correct magnitude.
