Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Speak to Captain Veleth.
- Find the hidden stash of Emberbrand Wine in Raven Rock.
- Return to Captain Veleth.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Speak to Captain Veleth in Raven Rock. He tells you that he's concerned about some Emberbrand Wine being stashed by his men. He'd like you to locate the stash and report back to him. He suggests you search near any abandoned buildings in the area:
- Is it difficult commanding the Redoran Guard?
- "It can be. Even the most experienced warriors can fall prey to petty distractions. They usually didn't amount to much, but they make my job that much harder."
- Petty distractions?
- "Some of my own men have become quite accustomed to a spirit they called 'Emberbrand Wine.' Despise the stuff myself. It's powerful and tremendously addicting... I've seen men fail to finish even a single flask. If I knew where they were stashing the bottles, I'd put an end to it myself."
- I could track the stash down for you.
- "You would? That would be helpful. I just don't have time to do it myself right now."
- Any idea where I can begin?
- "They're too smart to have left it in the Bulwark. I'd search one of the abandoned houses on the outskirts of town."
Locate the abandoned building in town, which is just past the blacksmith. Stay outside, and head along the road southwest of the abandoned building to find eight jars of the wine in a barrel between the foundations of two destroyed houses nearby. Return to Captain Veleth for your reward:
- I found the Emberbrand Wine stash.
- "Good, this will help me keep things running without having to worry about a bunch of soldiers falling asleep on duty. Here, take this for your trouble."
Reward[edit]
Levels | Reward |
---|---|
1-29 | 250 |
30-39 | 500 |
40-49 | 1000 |
50-59 | 1500 |
60+ | 2000 |
Notes[edit]
- The barrel containing the wine does not exist until you start the quest.
- It is not necessary to take the wine to complete the quest - merely finding the barrel and seeing its contents is enough. If you do take it, you can keep it for your own use.
- You won't be able to speak to Captain Veleth to turn in this quest if you've only just started the quest Served Cold, as he will only say, "I'm sorry. I've already said too much. Talk to Second Councilor Arano if you're willing to help us." Speaking to Arano to advance Served Cold will allow you to converse with Veleth and turn in this quest.

Notes
- Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game. - Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering

is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest usingresetquest DLC2RRFavor01
