A strangler

Stranglers are carnivorous plantlike creatures found primarily in Black Marsh and Valenwood. They are capable of dragging prey towards them from a distance and siphoning their life-force.

Skills and Abilities[edit]

Stranglers are rooted to the ground and cannot adjust their positioning, and any abilities that knock back or pull targets will be ineffective on them.

Strike: A basic melee attack that deals minor physical damage.
Spit: A basic ranged attack that deals minor poison damage.
Grapple: When standing away from the strangler, it pulls its target to itself using a vine. Blocking prevents being pulled.
Strangle: The strangler drains the target's blood, dealing moderate physical damage over time and healing itself. This can be interrupted to set the strangler off-balance.
Poisoned Ground: The strangler sends out roots at the target's position, indicated by a red circle, which then close onto them, dealing moderate poison damage.
