Runemaster Xiomara is a powerful Dark Elf arcanist who can be found at Runemaster's Acropolis. He has the rare chance of dropping the Ebony Shalk Mounting for the Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet.

Skills and Abilities

As a boss rank enemy, Runemaster Xiamara is immune to crowd control.

Exsanguinating Ichor

The outer ring of the arena is full of ichor dealing fast increasing "Drown" damage to targets inside. Staying in less than 1 second deals no damage. "Drown" damage is NOT reduced by your armor rating and damage reduction taken effects.

Runeblade/Divergent Runeblade

Basic ranged attack dealing moderate-high magic damage. Runemaster Xiomara also generates 1 Crux with a cooldown.

Abyssal Impact

Runemaster Xiomara casts an Abyssal Impact-like ability which deals high magic damage and heavily snares targets hit in a line area. Runemaster Xiomara also generates 1 Crux.

Abyssal Cascade/Abyssal Laceration

Runemaster Xiomara launches 4 ichor projectiles in a cross pattern around him two times, dealing high magic damage each and applying/reapplying "Abyssal Laceration" which deals low magic damage over 10 seconds. Runemaster Xiomara also generates 1 Crux.

Volatile Burst/Volatile Residue

Runemaster Xiomara casts a Volatile Rune-like ability under a target which deals low magic damage, knocks back and stuns in an area then it creates a ground area dealing continuous moderate magic damage. Runemaster Xiomara also generates 1 Crux.

Abyssal Conjuration

Runemaster Xiomara creates a growing area that follows under the target, when the area is filled it stick to the ground then one or multiple Abyssal Tendrils erupt which deal moderate physical damage and knocks back. Runemaster Xiomara also generates 1 Crux.

Empowered Runeblades

When Runemaster Xiomara has three Crux, he consumes them to canalize a book above his head that rapid fires projectiles to all players dealing increasing magic damage. Runemaster Xiomara must be interrupted to stop this attack.

Tomeshell Burst

Runemaster Xiomara periodically summons a Tomeshell Runebound that follows a player and that cannot be taunted or pulled. The followed player will be indicated by a target market over their head. If the Tomeshell Runebound reaches the targeted player before it is killed, it will explode, dealing extreme magic damage in an area.

Apocryphal Gate

Runemaster Xiomara teleports to the other side of the arena using an Apocryphal Gate.

Unmitigated Outburst/Mitigated Outburst

Runemaster Xiomara summons a "Destructive Literature" spinning book on the ground next to him that after a few seconds will explode and deal massive magic damage in the whole arena (Unmitigated Outburst). Standing in the AOE around the book will prevent the arena-wide damage from occurring, and will instead cause high magic damage (Mitigated Outburst) to those standing inside the AOE. The AOE around the book is orange when the damage will be Unmitigated and turns yellow when the damage will be Mitigated. Runemaster Xiomara always performs this attack immediately after teleporting through his "Apocryphal Gate".

Arcane Shards

At 66% and 33% Health, Runemaster Xiomara activates a Shard of Chaos and two Shards of Order. The Shard of Chaos will fire projectiles at all players until it is destroyed. Those projectiles are fired increasingly faster and deal increasing magic damage. You must destroy the two Shards of Order flanking it to make the Shard of Chaos vulnerable to destruction. Runemaster Xiomara gains a large damage shield during this ability.

Summon Watcher

When the first "Arcane Shards" phase ends, Runemaster Xiomara summons a special Watcher and will summon one when the second "Arcane Shards" phase ends and everytime he uses "Apocryphal Gate".

Dialogue

When you start attacking, he will cry out.

Runemaster Xiomara: "How dare you enter my sanctum!"

Runemaster Xiomara: "Who dares disturb my meditations?"

Runemaster Xiomara: "You will regret interrupting me, trespasser!"

When casting Empowered Runeblades, he will say:

Runemaster Xiomara: "Feel the fury of my arcane powers!"

Runemaster Xiomara: "Now face arcane mastery unleashed!"

Runemaster Xiomara: "You will not survive my magics!"

When activating the Shards of Chaos:

Runemaster Xiomara: "Allow me to give you a taste of chaos!"

Runemaster Xiomara: "Knowledge is power, and you are unlearned!"

Runemaster Xiomara: "Now face arcane mastery unleashed!"

Upon defeat, he will say:

Runemaster Xiomara: "No, impossible…."

Runemaster Xiomara: "Chaos cannot be defeated…"
