Walkthrough[edit]
Eugal Belette's House[edit]
Entering the two-story home will reveal a sparsely decorated, shabby interior; the owner's service to the Mythic Dawn appears to keep him occupied with pursuits other than basic housekeeping. The left side of the lower floor has three clutter barrels and a clutter crate in the corner with a shelf across from the bottom of the stairs containing a basket and a food sack on the floor. The middle of the left side has an unused fireplace with broken boards and a urn. Straight across from the main entry is a table and two chairs, with the table set using two clay plates (one of which is on the floor) and a single pewter fork. To the right of that is a single food cupboard. Finally, to the right of the main entrance is a clutter barrel and food sack as well as a clutter shelf in the far corner with two clay tankards and a clay vase on the shelves.
Straight across the top of the staircase is a clutter-filled desk and chair shoved into the corner and another unused fireplace on the center wall with a pelt hung above it. A small stool is in front of the fireplace indicating that this one might see some use. In the right corner on that same wall is an empty round table with two chairs. On the wall opposite the side rail of the staircase is a middle-class set of drawers. The bedroom is opposite the fireplace and when facing it is organized so the double bed is to the left and a sitting area is to the right. The right side of the bed features a makeshift nightstand that has a bottle of Surilie Brothers Wine and a metal tankard sitting atop it. The right side of the bedroom has a three seater bench and coffee table with a metal bowl and a metal goblet sitting atop it. There are also a set of middle-class drawers with a clutter chest atop it in that corner.
Eugal Belette's Basement[edit]
The door to the basement is average-locked, but once it is picked there are three sets of stairs leading to the room below. This stairwell has in it five clutter sacks, two ingredients barrels, one clutter barrel, and a clutter crate. The hall is lit with the help of some red candles. At the bottom is an average-locked wooden door. The room beyond appears to be a basement alchemy lab. To the left of the door is a small table and chair with three skulls on top and two thick bones on the floor below. To the right of this is a makeshift workbench using a table that, on top of it, holds the following: a novice mortar & pestle, a novice alembic, a novice calcinator, a novice retort, a Lesser Soul Gem, the book Mysticism, a skull atop the book, a silver goblet, a quill and inkwell, and a Mythic Dawn Robe. A hard-locked chest sits on the floor behind the table containing middle-class treasure.
On the opposite side of the room as the door is a shelf with drawers that are filled with middle-class clutter. The shelf has a crystal ball atop it and contains copies of Mythic Dawn Commentaries 2, The Book of Daedra, Darkest Darkness, Fundaments of Alchemy, and Gods and Worship. Another novice mortar & pestle can be found here as well as a silver goblet, weight, and quill. The adjacent wall to the door has another shelf with a ribcage on the floor to the left of it. This shelf contains a leveled noble jewelry chest.
Bugs[edit]
- Under some circumstances, large triangular lights and coffin shaped shadows (top half of exclamation point) will appear in the locked room in Belette's basement; see Oblivion:Minor Glitches#Broken Candles.
-
The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.1.0, fixes this bug.
-
- The ownership of Eugal's house isn't set up correctly. Instead of being owned by Eugal himself, the house and its doors are actually owned by the Mythic Dawn faction. This results in items appearing as unowned and free to take, despite them still getting added to the Items Stolen stat.
The Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes these bugs. Version 3.0.0 corrects the ownership of the cells, version 3.5.4 corrects the ownership of the front door, and version 3.5.5 corrects the doors in the basement.
