Obtaining the Quest

This quest can also be recieved from Hasphat Antabolis after bringing him back the Dwemer puzzle box. If you ask him about the Dwemer information a keyword for Nchuleftingth appears and when you click it he gives you a note to give to Senilias Cadiusus. — Unsigned comment by 204.99.118.9 (talk)

You can actually get this quest from Hasphat (and presumably complete it) without being in the Mages Guild. I don't know whether this will mess up the guild questline if you subsequently join. --Gaebrial 04:05, 11 June 2009 (EDT)

I was already a member of the mages guild, but I started this quest with the recommentation from Hasphat. turned in this quest before I had gotten the dwemer tube quest from Edwina, and it seems to have worked fine. I didn't get the Mzuleft quest until I had turned in the dwemer tube, but once I had I could start it either by asking for duties, or by asking about the excavation report I'd handed in.Nnie (talk) 12:42, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

Being Unable to Complete the Quest

If you kill Senilias you can't complete the quest. When you talk to Edwinna about excavation report she says "Senilias is dead? I am sorry to hear that %PCName. I will have to change my entire plan of research." and won't let you complete the quest. You have to use the console to get the Journal entry to finish the quest, or get any of her other quests. I never played Morrowind on the PC, but I am fairly certain this rings true for all quests (someone dies; quest cannot be finished). Now, whether or not that is a journal entry, I cannot verify. –Elliot ^talk 11:28, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
