Withershins (from Old Cyrodilic withersynes, meaning backwards) are a concept of Cyrodilic tradition about reversal.[1][2] An incantatory practice called Withershin Therapy is the art of reversing the direction of things in order to gain access to the spirit world, and break curses, cure vampirism, and trigger all manners of apotropaic healing.[1] It is possible to become master of the withershin.[UOL 1] Certain withershin spells when casted appear as burning sigils in the air drawn in a backwards motion by the caster.[UOL 1]
