Chung

Chung is one of the four Champions and a possible traitor. You will find him in the very first room of Dawnstar Run 2.

Interactions

When you meet him for the first time, he will always greet you with:

"Greetings stranger. Stay if you want, but touch my stuff and I will bash your head in."

When you initiate a conversation with him, he will always say a random one of the following:

"I still have some ale around here, but I have to drink it straight from the keg."

"My prayer mat is tattered, almost disrespectful. I need a new one."

"Have you seen a cestus, the ones trolls use? Now that is a brutal weapon."

Train

In exchange for 1 Aid Point, Chung will train you a rank in Axe, Blunt Weapon, or Heavy Armor. If you attempt to train without any Aid Points, he will say:

"I am not your personal trainer. Go improve yourself."

Give

You can give Chung a Gift Item in order to gain Aid Points with him. The following table shows each Gift Item and the number of Aid Points you will gain with him for it.

His responses depending on how many Aid Points the gift was worth.

1. "Better than being beat with a stick, I guess."
2. "Huh. You found that is this wasteland?"
3. "My prayers have been answered! You are a sign from above."

His response to refusing a non-Gift Item or a Gift he doesn't like:

"Troll scat would be more welcome."

Befriend

If your Speechcraft skill is high enough, you will receive 1 Aid Point with Chung. His responses for a successful Befriend attempt:

"Hmmmm... well then, what can I do for you?"

"You have many enemies. I shall show you how to crush them."

His responses for a failed Befriend attempt:

"I'm thinking you need to leave five minutes ago."

"I was just wondering if your warm clothes fit me, but please continue."

If you attempt to Befriend him again after a successful Befriend or three^(?) consecutive failures, he will indicate that you cannot yet by responding:

"Best to let some time pass..."

Threaten

If Chung is intimidated by you^(?), you will receive 1 Aid Point with him. The following is his response to a Threaten attempt, regardless of whether or not it was successful^(?):

"You would look funny with an icicle driven through your skull."

If you attempt to Threaten him again, he will indicate that you cannot yet by responding:

"Best to let some time pass..."

Ask a question

In exchange for 1 Aid Point, you can ask Chung about what one of other three Champions were doing during the attack on Dawnstar before they were exiled. You first select what topic to ask about: between North wall defense, East wall defense, Arguing with governor, Imperial aid, Ice tribes, and Gates before attack. Then, you select Alhavara, Beatrice, or Delacroix to be the target of your question. His response can be falsified if he is the traitor. Regardless, he will give one of the following responses:

"Beatrice saught [sic] aid from the emperor to bolster Dawnstar ... and undermine the governor."

"Beatrice inspected the troops before the attack."

"Delacroix oversaw south wall defense."

"Delacroix oversaw south wall defense."

"Delacroix loudly demanded more reinforcements for his position."

"Delacroix conducted small raids against the Ice tribes to prove his loyalty."

"Delacroix asked the Emperor to appoint him governor and requested additional troops for defense of Dawnstar."

"Delacroix weakened main gate defenses by pulling men to the south wall."

"Alhavara defended the south wall during the attack."

"Alhavara defended the south wall during the attack."

"Alhavara had no communication with governor during the attack."

"Alhavara had infrequent negotiations with the Ice tribes prior to the attack."

"Beatrice had a shouting match with the governor during the battle."

"Beatrice's contempt for the ice tribes prevented her from contacting them."

"Beatrice saught [sic] aid from the emperor to bolster Dawnstart [sic] ... and undermine the governor."

"Beatrice inspected the gates before the attack."

"Delacroix oversaw north wall defense."

"Delacroix oversaw east wall defense."

"Delacroix avoided contact with the governor during the battle."

"Delacroix tried to coax bribes in exchange for information on Dawnstar's defenses."

"Delacroix had no need to communicate with the emperor."

"Delacroix reinforced the defenses at the gate."

If you attempt to ask a question without any Aid Points, he will say:

"I am not your personal trainer. Go improve yourself."

If you ask a question you have already asked, he will give the same reply without deducting from your Aid Points with him. However, he will still refuse any question if you have 0 Aid with him.

Warp

Chung transports you to Camp in front of Eustacia. This doesn't update "Your last location" like Warp Rune items or warp squares.
