Arena talk:Base Weapons
Do the weapons have any speed penalty for weight and two handedness? Are there any range limits say for a dagger vs short sword vs long sword? I am about to sink 10,000 into an Ebony War Hammer, so I really wanted to know ahead of time whether there were any hidden drawbacks. I suppose I'll have to just do it and report back here to answer my own question. Kalevala 21:02, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Materials[edit]
What is meant by the blank material spaces in the tables? Does it mean the item in question can be any material, or is it just not known yet? --107.207.84.59 21:50, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
To Hit bonus from metals[edit]
The numbers in the 'Bonus Chance To Hit' column of the metals table look like they're taken from the manual (p46), which is known to contain misinformation. Has anyone ever managed to confirm them? The hit bonus on weapons isn't displayed in-game so it's beyond me. Boustrophedon (talk) 09:05, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Gauntlet Material[edit]
The page says that material affects damage and accuracy, plus it lists the specifics of gauntlet damage of different armor types. Does this mean Plate Gauntlets of superior material also have bonus damage, accuracy and whatever other effects those material types may include? Bushwhacker (talk) 01:57, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
Linked instead of transcluded[edit]
Sorry for posting in an old talk page but I was in the area and noticed that the sub-sections of One-handed weapons and Two-Handed Weapons each contained just a single link. It struck me as an odd choice to structure the links as sub-sections instead of as items in a straightforward list. I checked the history and found that, at one point, the list of weapons were converted from transclusions into links. There was no revision message nor any explanation in this talk page or the contributor's. Was there a reason for this switch, possibly undocumented in the wiki but perhaps discussed in a different platform? Salamangkero (talk) 14:36, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
