Orkey is Arkay[edit]

Orkey is the Nordic Arkay, via the Orcs. Michael Kirkbride actually stated this on the Bethsoft forums, but when I seached out the topic I found it is too old for the forum records and unfortunately it can't be accessed anymore. :( However, some supporting evidence would be that the Nords already recognize Mauloch as Malacath, and that Orkey's sphere - lifespan - mirrors that of Arkay, and not of Malacath whose sphere is outcasts. The names Orkey and Arkay are also extremely close, which is something we know happens with other gods shared across pantheons. I believe this is strong enough to warrant putting in the article. — Unsigned comment by 91.111.14.200 (talk) at 04:04 on 11 December 2009‎

Oghma, divine or not?[edit]

I know Oghma is the wife of the God Xarxes, and that he created her. But that does not mean Oghma herself is divine, or is it? The only reference I can find is provided in the book Varieties of Faith in the Empire, but that doesn't spell it out either. Wolok gro-Barok 18:02, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

I think it's better to list her as a divine than as a person. But then again, if she has no worshippers, she isn't much of a god. --Legoless 18:20, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
I agree it would make more sense to list her as a divine than as a person, but I would like to know for a fact if she really is divine. I doubt it, and combined with the fact that she probably isn't worshipped, she doesn't qualify as a god. I'm inclined to take it off. If someone disagrees, it can always be reverted. The One[edit]

Shouldn't we have an entry for the "Single God" preached by Marukh? Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 00:16, 24 May 2013 (GMT)

Orkey/Malacath/Arkay[edit]

While The True Nature of Orcs states that Orkey is the nordic version of Malacath, the ESO loading screen of the Hall of the Dead in Windhelm says "Windhelm [...] has a Hall of the Dead [...] overseen by a Priest of Orkey [...]". In Skyrim, all Halls of the Dead are overseen by a Priest of Arkay. Does this justify a comment about a possible relation to Arkay as well? -- SarthesArai Talk 16:16, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

According to Varieties of Faith: The Nords, Orkey is indeed a fusion of Malacath and Arkay. I've updated the article accordingly. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 18:54, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
